Irene Blackwood

A graduate in Fine Art from Glasgow School of Art, Irene retired from from teaching Art and now concentrates on producing her own work.

Irene creates Landscape, Still Life, Portraits and work on the theme of Contemporary Dance and finds people and animals, features and textures inspiring in Portraiture, and loves creating the feeling of movement in dance figures.

Her work is produced in Acrylics, oil paints, chalk pastels, and mixed media.In recent years Irene has received many commissions for animal portraits mainly in Acrylics and Chalk Pastels.
